School birthday celebration 110th birthday.

Firstly when we go in the school I justed walked to the back in the corridor Sheeandra and me went to get us a dress for us to use. Some of the kids got dressed into some of the olden day clothing. After that an olden day bell rang.
When the bell rang it hered like it was a olden day bell like ding dong ding dong. Then all of the classrooms lined up and walked to the library. When we were walking to the library I felt butterflies in my tummy.I was nervous as because because we were going to do a performance in the front of our nanas and papas. When we go in the front of the nanas and papas we just went to our lines and when to sing our songs. About a hour later the classrooms came out of the library and went back to their classes. When we got back to our classes we did cursive writing is when you have to follow the teacher's writing that she does. I moaned at my teacher “this hard. And when we were getting in class I was getting scared because I wore no olden day clothes. I was scared because I thought I was getting the cane. A few hours later we were just playing games. I was the dumbest at knucklebones in Mrs Paraha’s group. These are the games we played: knucklebones, hopscotch, hula hoops, ring things, spinning tops, marbles and skipping. When we all finished playing the games we all went into the library and did our kapa haka performance. This is the part when I wanted to hide in the hallway so that I wouldn’t be in front of the nanas and papas. But when we got into the library I just didn’t want to fall over. Our first song was Pohiritia so that the whanau could be welcomed into the school. Karangatia ra, that was our first waiata that we  sang. Poi, tititorea was the best songs that we played in the kapa haka performance. And after that the boys did their haka. When the boys finished the haka we did E te Hokowhitu. After we finished doing the last song we did it again with all of the nanas and papas. Papa joe was funny he was just dancing along with our school. When we finished that papa harry blew the candles out with papa Joe.
We had to wait fifteen or nineteen  minutes for the hangi. When we were waiting for the hangi my group was playing spinning tops. When we got our hangi we just went and walked to the deck and eat it all like just in 10 minutes. that was a yummy kai. The best thing out of the hangi was the meat and the pumpkin. This is the amazing part when we ate the hangi. When we got our hangi I just went to the deck and sat and munched it back and I ate it all with Sheeandra & Charlee We all were just eating and laughing. The best part was when I eat the hangi with my friend and cousin. What I really liked was when we played with the spinning tops. I never knew that Tautoro School was going to have 110th birthday for ages and ages and ages and ages. That was the best day I ever, Tautoro School’s ra whanau. I almost cut my finger. Na just joking.

This is my book rewiev for week 7/8.

This week I have been reading Hinemoa and Tutanekai it is from the Arawa people.

It is mostly about Hinemoa a very young girl who lived with her family at Owhata, on the shores of Lake Rotorua. All the young men in the area had heard about her beauty and wanted to meet her.

The story was sad because they had to split a part Hinemoa and Tutanekai and all the other brothers had to split up too. Like two and two boys. Like how they do it on tv shows.

Hinemoa and Tutanekai wanted to go away from all of their brothers. So that she can be careful much more.
